The GO! Group Community is a small group of adults deeply committed to each other and to our Lord Jesus Christ. Our founding verse is Matthew 28: 19–20, where Jesus says, “Therefore, GO and make disciples…” The GO! Group exists to provide the mutual support, Christian love and fellowship, prayer, and Biblical study that will empower its members to follow the Great Commission. Join us. Help us. GO! with us. We meet at 8:00 am in Room 305-S.

What we're studying...

From Depravity to Redemption, a study of the Israelites and their Egyptian captivity
January 3–May 30

Currently, our study is: From Depravity to Redemption, a study of the Israelites and their Egyptian captivity. The GO! Group begins our study of Exodus by looking at the Israelites in captivity and the early life of Moses. We discover that God remembers His covenant with the people of Israel. "I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with my outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment. I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God" (Exodus 6: 6-7). The GO! Group is also learning a little Hebrew. Do you know what the Hebrew word hah-sey means? Here is what the word hah-sey looks like in Hebrew: השה. God told Abraham to take his beloved son, Isaac, to Mount Moriah, and sacrifice him there as a burnt offering. On the mountain, Isaac asked his father, "Where is the Lamb for the burnt offering?" Abraham answered, "God Himself will provide the Lamb" (Genesis 22: 1-8). And He did. Around 1800 years later, John the Baptist saw Jesus in the crowd and said to his disciples, "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world" (John 1: 29). God Himself provided Hah-sey, the Lamb that was sacrificed on a cross outside of Jerusalem to pay the penalty for sin, yours and mine. Hah-sey means "the Lamb."
